Multi-Generational Home Remodel
Claremont

This addition is a modern interpretation of the home’s mid-century DNA and sits naturally in the landscape as if it was part of the original structure, while blending with and complimenting the neighborhood aesthetic. This multi-generational home provides a living space that is light filled and airy. The homeowners’ desires were to age in place while providing living space for their extended family. After multiple iterations, a single-story option was decided upon, which necessitated the relocation of the garage to the north end of the house orienting it to the street. The new bedroom suite is connected to the new living room via a hallway which incorporates a kitchenette. We retained the connection to the main house at the main kitchen so family meals can be taken together.
