This jewel of a craftsman home had a previous 1990's kitchen remodel that didn't fit the architectural context of the home. We reconfigured the entire space, enlarged the island, updated the lighting, countertops, cabinetry and appliances, and restored the original architectural intent by adding traditional craftsman detailing.

At Lotus Construction Group, we recently had the privilege of working on a traditional craftsman kitchen remodel for a charming home with a rich history. The existing kitchen had undergone a renovation in the 1990s, which, unfortunately, did not align with the original architectural style of the house. Our task was to breathe new life into this space while ensuring that every change we made respected and enhanced the traditional craftsman aesthetics.

The focal point of our remodel was the island, which we enlarged to not only improve functionality but also to serve as a central gathering point for the household. By carefully selecting materials and adding intricate detailing, we were able to bring out the essence of traditional craftsman design while incorporating modern elements for a timeless appeal.

Lighting played a crucial role in highlighting the craftsmanship and creating a warm, inviting ambiance. We installed fixtures that complemented the overall style of the kitchen and provided ample illumination for cooking and entertaining. The countertops and cabinetry were carefully chosen to reflect the craftsmanship and attention to detail that define the craftsman style.

Moreover, we updated the appliances with state-of-the-art models that seamlessly integrated into the kitchen without compromising its traditional charm. By blending functionality with authentic design elements, we were able to create a space that honors the home's history while meeting the needs of a modern lifestyle.
